What can we do?

After viewing all these videos and images, it is clear to me that the media is brainwashing our children. They are getting worst with time. It is our job as educators to educate our children of how the media works and the strategies they use to persuade us to do things.

Using nature to persuade



Coca-Cola often uses these types of commercials during Christmas, they are clearly targeted to children. 

How the media uses cartoon to persuade:

Here are examples of how the media uses cartoon to target kids. They know that as soon as children see this in a supermarket they will beg their parents to buy it. These potato chips brought a sticker or tattoo at some point, to get children to buy it.

Using friends to persuade

Here is an example of how the media uses a group of friends enjoying each other to persuade kids.Children who see this will relate McDonald's to friends and good times.

Using Humor to Persuade

Here is an example of how advertisers use crazy or funny images to persuade.
